Working alongside other world-class suppliers and OEMs, Sevcon is challenging technological boundaries as demand grows to generate greater power and efficiency from smaller, lighter components.
The design of our motor controllers now complements and integrates with other electric vehicle components to offer the best possible performance and value to a vehicle, bike or scooter.
Working with others, we have developed a number of ground-breaking products. From electric power steering systems to single pump systems and a HypAC integrated brushless pump motor range with improved functionality and speed.
Sevcon works with a range of blue chip international manufacturers including Peugeot.
We are currently supplying the ultra-compact Gen4 controllers in Peugeot's pioneering zero-emission e-Vivacity scooter.
Matt Boyle, Sevcon chief executive, explains: "Peugeot's e-Vivacity is a fantastic innovation and spearheads a new generation of on-road electric scooters offering excellent performance and clean journeys. We're delighted to be a partner with an OEM of Peugeot's calibre on this project which highlights the impact Sevcon technology can play in this emerging sector."
Peugeot's e-Vivacity project manager, England Wei, adds: "Sevcon Gen4 controllers are a perfect fit for e-Vivacity. The performance, efficiency and compact size of this application matches our requirements precisely.
"Sevcon's controllers have the ability to be closely matched with the motors used in the scooter to provide smooth power transition. They also improve efficiency and enhance the range capability which is extremely valuable."
