Introduction
Sevcon is a market leader in controllers and accessories for battery powered vehicles. We have increased the size and strength of the engineering group over the last few years but need to further strengthen the R&D team based at Gateshead in North East England. New team members will need to be experienced engineers, the required level of experience depends on the particular job. Engineers will be involved with product development from initial concepts through to volume production. They must have the ability to analyse problems from first principles and come up with innovative and cost effective solutions. They must work well as part of a team but also be capable of working on their own to a specification and produce work meeting the company quality requirements.

North East England has a lot to offer potential candidates such as excellent social life, Northumberland countryside, superb beaches, MetroCentre shopping and good communication links with London 3 hours by train and the lake District 1 hour away.
