Sevcon designs and manufacturers high quality motor controllers and system components for electric vehicles - impacting upon the way people travel, work and live.

We offer a diverse range of products on electrically powered vehicles from fork lift trucks through to on-road cars and bikes. All these electric components - whether for on-road and off-road vehicles - are constructed to perform reliably and in the most severe conditions.

Priding ourselves on our products with a dedication to design and development, we are constantly evolving to meet the changing demands of our customers.

Sevcon now operates worldwide from headquarters in Gateshead in the UK and from subsidiaries in France, Japan, Korea and the USA.

We operate two distinct companies; Sevcon, which supplies controllers and system components for electric vehicles; and, ICW, based in Wales, which manufactures specialised film capacitors for electronics applications.

We are a world-class supplier in the industry and work to the requirements of QS9000 and TS16949. These quality standards have been driven by the automotive and telecommunications markets where world-class quality has been the goal for manufacturing using techniques such as Six Sigma programmes. We are constantly improving on our commitment to quality from concept through to delivery.
